This truck runs on community. Here’s how you can be part of the story:

💸 Give – Your support helps cover repairs, ice cream, and supplies.*
📣 Share – Tell a friend or neighbor who’d love this!

* All donations are to a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and are tax deductible. 100% of gifts designated to the ice cream truck go to the ice cream truck. 0% goes to the church’s general budget.

Service Area

At the initial launch of the ice cream truck, our goal will be to "go where people already are." In coordination with local schools, community sports clubs, and events, we will show up with free ice cream!

The form below allows anyone to request the truck show up for their event. We won't promise that we can make all the requests, but will prioritize based on the type of event and location.

Our service area will include the "3 R's" of Rosemont, La Riviera, and Rancho Cordova, with a special emphasis on the community of Rosemont, where Garden City Church will launch Sunday services in October of 2025.

Why an Ambulance, anyway?

The biblical story ends with a breathtaking vision. Jesus returns to set every wrong right, end every injustice, and wipe away every tear. But rather than discard this broken world like a worn-out toy, Jesus proclaims for all to hear: "Behold, I am making all things new!"

All things means exactly that—all things. In the new creation after Jesus' return, there will be no more injuries, no disease, and no death. So what will become of all those ambulances?

At Garden City Church, we embrace what we call a "theological imagination." We don’t literally believe Jesus will repurpose ambulances to hand out ice cream in heaven... but couldn’t He? Wouldn't that be a beautiful way to make all things new?

We want to bring glimpses of that future reality into the present. That’s why we are converting a decommissioned ambulance into an ice cream truck.

No strings attached. No forms to fill out. No suggested or required donations. Just free ice cream. Why?

Because our vision is to bring tangible glimpses of Jesus' love to our community. We want people to experience something good, generous, and joyful in their community.

And honestly—who doesn’t love free ice cream?
